So I did a booboo and unknowingly placed an order while trying to get a quote for a customer. This customer is now long gone to Venezuela and now I have a FULL suspension , Front & Rear lockers, Compressor, and PumpUp kit for an LC 40 (things that I dont normally stock) layin in my warehouse. I don't want to be a pain in ARBs butt(we have real good relations with them) or pay restocking fees. The customer had a 91 LC40 but most of these parts will fit several years and series' of LCs.

what is a LC40? do you mean a FJ40 Landcruiser? if so, why do you say that the customer had a 1991 LC40? There is no such thing as a 1991 FJ40 Landcruiser...

i think this is a troll who is using the info of the rover board moderator to scam people.

if he was attempting this scam, wouldnt he change the contact info to be different from the mod on the rover forum??

 

he didn't list the mod info. he only gives an email and a cell, no name, no references to other boards.

Hey, no no, no scam...it reall is me..JC. I posted this on LandRoversOnly.com as well since a lot of those guys are in 4x4 Clubs.

 

Its a bit more complicated than that. My boss doesnt exactly know I placed an order for this. I only called in for a quote. I guess I said "yeah I'd like to place an order" or something like that. The customer left, and a week later, a palete shows up with a full suspension and lockers. My boss made it sound like ARBs fault and I INSTANTLY got online, on the forums to see if I can get rid of it! I can assure you though, this isn't a scam or anything. I said I didnt want to be a pain in ARBs Butt because it would mean my boss callin mike and yelling at him. I'm also trying to sell them because I've been screwin up a lot lately here at the shop. Not becuase im not a good worker or anything, ive just had a REALLY full plate lately. Selling this would compensate for a little bit of it I hope. Please help a fellow off-roader out guys! I wouldnt have posted my cell if I was tryin to scam. I dont know how much info you could pull up with my cell number, but again, NOT A SCAM.

MUD would be your best bet, but you'll probably have to unload them at cost to move them fast. selling them "slightly below retail" won't get you anywhere on the net.

 

lee.... i never said that i verified his contact info. i only stated that this guy here had the same SIG as the guy on the rover forum. anybody could copy that info and start a new account here trying to impersonate him and use his reputation to sell stuff.

i never said it was a scam. i said to be careful cause it was fishy the way it was listed. i also said that any potential buyers should contact the moderator at the rover forum to see if it was indeed them selling the stuff. you have to sign up to contact members, so i didn't bother. that's why i couldn't verify that it was the same contact info...

ANyway, yeah I have the parts at hand...Ive been trying to get a good invoice scanned but it comes out lookin real crappy. TOmorrow when I get to work I'll snap a few pics of the parts and see if I can scan the invoice there.
