IFS parts needed for an OLD MAN OF A TACOMA!!!
Hey all you out there who have gone to SAS, or upgraded to soemthing else..... This is to help the little old man of Tacoma-world.....
my little old taco is the taco that could. my 1995 is the first model year they made them, just down the road from me in Fremont, CA. This particular one had all the options they offered back then... except tinted windows and a rear slider. It was a factory demo for press, and likely was flogged like a red headed step child. Afterward she was sold to an employee of the NUMI plant where all taco's were built. After that it came my way.
Well, after a few years and 177,753 miles, the front feels like it is gonna fall off every time I hit a bump in the road. The front end needs a rebuild bad.
She needs some new control arm bushings, likely ball joints all are worn too, so instead dumping a bunch on all the parts and and an alignment and miscellaneous, I was hoping for a SAS's or long traveled truck and owner to donate front control arms and or tie rod ends (inner and outer) from a younger and more robust donor.
Trying to keep this thing going and safely, but I don't have the money or parts acumulated for a SAS now and it would be a pity to toss money to an IFS now and put off a SAS any further than already is.
What to do..... what to do
any and all help is appreciated.
