Question got spark, got gas, still no explosion

after many tests, many hours and even more money, my car still will not start. ive got a good strong spark going through te pulgs, i can see it (felt it a little too). I had recently worked on my fuel pump and the spark plug i pulled out to test smelled like fresh gas so it seems like it has fire and gas. checked the timing, it was dead on. My car still just turns and turns, where do i go from here?

compression check, it ain' t hard. a compression tester is plugged into each of the sparkplug holes, just screws right in. instructions shouldn't be hard to find.

On the V6, there is a trick to run the fuel pump by jumping some connectors in the diagnostic box. I am pretty sure it is the same on a 22RE.

You can crack a fuel line (cold start injector) and see if you have fuel pressure at that point.

Be careful no to get gas everywhere. Fuel burns in more places then just your cyclinders.

You might have fouled out your plugs just by trying to start it. Pull your plugs and see if they are wet. If they are replace them.

have you tried to spray starting fluid in your intake? I had a problem once kind of like that and I took the top of the airbox and had a buddy crank the motor and gave it a couple of shots thru the VFM (22re doesn't have a MAF so you don't have to worry about messing up a filiment). If it fires/runs you can rule out the spark for sure. Just make sure you leave the VFM connected to the intake hose so the electronics still report to the ECM and do not try and run it on the starting fluid for and extended period of time, it will run lean and can harm other sensors that are way to expensive to replace.

If that works then move on to the fuel pressure check like posted above.

I did pull my plugs out and they are wet but it smells like gas. im heading to the auto parts store to see if i can aquire and comperssion tester and test my compression. ill post those results tom
