Where can I find this for my truck?

I'm looking for the black rack thing that goes over the canopy. I've seen them around, so i know it's not something that isn't common. If someone could point me in the right direction, that would be great.

If no one knows, i guess i'll just get some assistance fabbing up one of my own.
The reason I ask is because I can get a rack and basket on my canopy for 500 bucks. However, the rack can support only 200 lbs, so add the basket and it drops to 125-150. With this, I'll be able to support MUCH more weight.

I'm going to check out the local canopy dealer to see what they've got. I thought about getting a roof rack on my canopy, but the weight it supports isn't near what I'd need, plus this would be a cheaper option.

Thanks for the email Jayson. That is a cool picture huh?
That was right after I got the rack. I have since floored it with kennel flooring and welded on mounts for my hi-lift.
Here is a picture from a couple weeks ago in Baja.
It can hold as much weight as your bedrails can. The bed rails will fail before the rack will. I plan to add a spare tire carrier in the front section that isn't floored and lights, etc when I get more time and $$$.
The fabricator was Colmin-X racks in Denver, I'll PM you their phone number if you want it, they do not have a website.

Nice looking rack, Ursidae69!
Do you have any pics with the flooring on it? Besides putting a couple of kayaks on it, I think it would be great to sleep up there sometimes. Also would be nice to climb up on top, and set up a tripod for landscape photography!

I threw some pictures of the flooring and hi-lift install in a temporary album on my site. Check it out at this link.
The flooring is plastic, very lightweight, yet sturdy. It is a type of kennel flooring, I bought it here for 15 bucks a sheet. The angle iron bracing I welded in gives enough support to stand up there, the the flooring does deflect a little (I weigh 270) so I try to stand on the supports if I can.
I do plan to use the top as a sleeping/photography platform. I plan to build some custom mounts for my future kayak (with Loosehead's help
) and that way I can haul yaks and still have usable floor space for other storage.
Thanks for the comments.

Looks like central baja terrain, where are the cardons?
Are you closer to the Cortez or Pacific?
I've been going down since I was born with my dad... Just got back actually last week. I miss it there when Im not there

Thanks for the detailed pics. Looks like the kennel flooring is both functional and durable stuff.
Just another quick question......as I'll be doing beaucoup freeway miles on a trip west from FL, does the grating material and rack make a lot of noise at highway speeds? I know that on my car, simple Yakima racks can increase the dB levels to an annoying point without a fairing.

Yeah it looks beautiful over there. I've only been on the Cortez side a handful of times just passing through to get down to around Cabo... I like that area a lot but its not very good for surfing on that side
Looks like you guys had a blast. Its like another world on that side!
This is about 50 miles SSW of Catavina... from a few weeks ago.
