transmission fluid leaking, sealant needed

I am slightly leaking transmission fluid from I think the front seal. Someone told me to try a sealant you pour in with the fluid, but I can't find it. Has anyone tried this before. It is a slight leak. Thanks for any help.

Any auto parts store should have it, probably 2 or 3 different brands. I've no idea how well it works.

id stay away from the stuff (never tried it). be prepared for a rebuild when it doesn't solve the problem.

I haven't heard much good about leak sealant additives, especially for the tranny, and don't have any firsthand experience. I also suggest you stay away from them and recommend you have the leak looked at professionaly by a shop with a good history.

I have the same problem in my toyota motorhome. It has the 3.0, a '91. I put in some stuff but it didn't work... I believe mine is the front seal also... But it only seems to do it with the "overdrive" on... I'm not sure about that, but it hasnt leaked since i leave the "overdrive" off....

I am curious if that actually keeps it from leaking.. and believe me, this sucker will spit out some tranny fluid fast...
