My New Stereo

I cant wait to get everything installed. I currently have a pair of 4" speakers for the dash. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-A9a3MNo...0&I=130TSG1040 and a pair of 6.5" speakers for the box im building http://www.crutchfield.com/S-A9a3MNo...0&I=130TSG1640 and a 10" sub also for the box i am building But I cant find it online but it is a pioneer 500w 10 inch sub. I need some advice on what amp i should use and the 6x9s i should get. Im not made of money so try and keep it budget. Thanks for all the help.

I'd get a different set of components and skip the rear fill, unless you carry loads of people all the time.

Could you elaborate I dont think i am understanding you correctly. I have in my possesion The 4s and 6.5s and the sub all i need are amp and 6x9 suggestions. Like i said i already have the above but none are installed. In the truck itself i have the factory 4s which are blown and 2 blown 6x9s I want some serious tunes that is my goal.

I would put the 6.5's in the rear location, not the box, and skip the 6x9's. Use the money you save on the 6x9's to get more channels of amplification (five or six).

Personally, I am partial to American amps (JL Audio, Precision Power, Orion, MTX, etc). Just seem to have more "balls" than the Japanese amps (Sony, Pioneer, Alpine). I know - unfair stereotype - but that's my opinion.

As amps go, quality is better than quantity. In the end, real watts/dollar is pretty constant. If you see some amp for a really good price claiming 1000W, it won't really put that out. The one for the same price that says 250W is probably just as loud and a lot cleaner.

Oh - got distracted and forgot to explain why not to put the 6.5's in the same box...

The 10" is going to create quite a bit of pressure in the box, which will push out on the 6.5's, degrading the sound quality of both speakers. Of course, you could seal off little boxes for the 6.5's (like a box within a box), but IMHO it would be more trouble than having the speakers would be worth.

Ok well I already bought the 6x9s and installed them before i checked on here but for now untill I get the money for the sub they are perfect. I might sell them when I get the sub. I am looking at http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Kicke...oductDetail.do a kicker cvr 12 inch sub. I only want one because I dont have much room in my truck to put 2 even a 10 would be nice. as for the box. The sub will have its own sealed box and the 6.5s and 6x9s will also have separate boxes.

No - I'm the idiot. Somehow I had 4Runner on the brain, not pickup...

Extended cab, I presume? There are a couple good posts on here about subs in the back of extended cabs, either building it as a seat or in the side compartments. Use the 6.5's in either QForms or custom kick panels. That's what I had in the competition truck (with an 8" sub in the dash in front of the shifter) and it sounded AWESOME (good enough for 4th in the World, anyways LOL)
