Unhappy body parts, yum . . .

well, i've had my machine for just right at 1 week, and was taking a buddy home from a day of snowboarding - leaving his newly plowed driveway (in the woods) i drifted over a bit to the right (as one sometimes does in snow) and bam! what? a two foot high stump buried along the edge of the drive? my chrome valance is now modern art . . . wondering if any of you have recommendations for where to find a replacement. sure, i'll check local salvage yards - there's also a guy on ebay selling new aftermarket parts, but his feedback makes him less than ideal. anyone out there got parts recommendations for a new kid on the block? sure, it's just a small thing, but i'm liking this truck more and more every day, and have only had it a week - so i'm aggravated that i've fubar'd the front . . . :pat: thanks for any help. the count

If its a stock piece I can probably find one in a junkyard down here. If you can get a picture of it, it would help. I'm not picturing a chrome valenece on a 90 Runner.

Its late and my brain has been short circutiong all day.

An Aftermarket Steel Valance (Made in Taiwan) goes for less than $20 (I bought one). Be wary of the guy on Ebay. Also, these ROC parts tend to vary in fit and finish. Look in your local phonebook or on yp.yahoo.com for a collision parts store. Also check copartfinder.com or junkyarddog.com If you were in SoCal, finding the part would be a piece of cake.

Good Luck!
