Question Tundra Idlling Question??

Ok here is the SITREP. 01 Tundra. After the gym one night truck would not start. Turn the key nothing. Ok sounds like dead battery. So I get a jump start and truck runs. Well enging light is on. So next morning I start the truck with a portable jump start box. Truck does not want to idle properly. Very sluggish off of line. Pull into auto parts store lot and truck dies. Well I buy a new battery and install at store. Now starts everytime but still idles like crap. Won't really go anywhere. So have it towed to dealer. Dealer tells me a day later that they can't do a diagnostic test on it because I have a K&N intake system on truck. Sounds like BS to me. A few friends in Cali who are mechanics say BS also. Anybody have and ideas on what might be wrong?

Idle is usually spelled by the computer on the Tundras. For idle speed, it is adjusted by the throttle cable adjustment screw (threw that in there just so you don't get confused between the two).

If it idles like crap, try cleaning your MAF sensor wire. On my 4Runner, prior to the Tundra I own now, I found out my idle was bad due to the K&N filter's oil coating the wire and causing a bad read out and even poor gas mileage. If that doesn't solve it, try a TSB out for the fuel pump, although that probably won't be it, I am just throwing out ideas just in case it is that.

Maybe your spark plugs are gapped incorrectly, pull them out and check them. Perhaps a clogged fuel injector, try running fuel injector cleaner. Umm...I'll think of someothers but try those easy items first.
