6x9 boxes for a reg cab

I'm a fat boy with long legs and I need the seat as far back as I can get it. Does any body have pics and/or dimensions for boxes I can put behind the seat? I have a REG CAB 94 pickup and a set of 6x9s to put back there to add to my 6s in the doors.. Thanks

if you've got a bench seat, swap the bench out for buckets and put a sub behind the pass. seat.

Take a look at the Infinity Basslink T. Helped a buddy install on in his little 90 toyota truck, and WOW...it was a pretty nice package.

box design for a 10" sub

I decided to take some advice and put a 10" sub back there. I still need box help. Dimensions would help alot.

can't use bucket seats

I do not want to put buckets in it. I need the bench. All of the ready made boxes I have seen are too wide at the bottom causing the seat too be too far forward. Depth of this box would have to be minimal, with needed box area coming from width. Max depth being 6 inches outer measurement at the bottom.Sealed enclosure size supposed to be.75 to 1.0 cubic feet.

i had the same problem you have. no leg room with the sub behind the seat. i picked up 2 drivers side 4runner seats out of 89's. i have all the leg room i can get, plus they recline and are way more comfy. i would ditch the bench if i were you.

Changed mind

O.k I,ve decided to use some bucket seats. Does anybody know what else would work BESIDES 4runner or ex cab seats? I can't find any locally. Thanks

my seats are from an early/mid 80s toyota - not sure what exact model, i've seen these same seats in tercels and 4runners. they bolt right up and are pretty comfy (ugly as hell though - nothing a pair of covers won't fix)

they're identical to these ones except blue instead of brown ---> https://www.yotatech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70220

From personal experience with 6x9s in boxes. I would NOT reccommend them. You would have to get some that are much bigger than you would want for the proper performance. I had 2 in the back of my 4runner, and ever since putting them in the wall the bass has increased, the power, and overall sound is much much better. The best choice would be the sub. and as far as the bench seat goes...it does have its advantages. I know of a few times I wish id had one.
