As I sat drooling over the Sahara bumper I wondered if indeed there was a way to adapt a regular Arb bumper so that it could use the OE turn lamps and fog lights. Anyone tried this yet?

You can rewire the stock corner lamps to work as parking lights and turn signals. I did that with my TJM, and I have a writeup about it on my website.

As for the fog lights... I've seen people cut holes in the bumper and fab up brackets for fog lights, but I don't think that is what you are after. Too bad you couldn't use the TJM light brackets in your ARB...

 

the only way to put any lights IN the arb bumpers other than what they come with is to fab something up.

 

Yeah I figured but before a I cut into the $600 bumper I wanted to see if anyone else had thought or done this already. I imagine the classic style bumper will not have much of a contour, unlike the OE bumper. Hmmm guess I might have to pony up and get the Sahara model ,,, damn..
