I'm making a move from Omaha to Sacramento this weekend in my '02 Sport ed.

I've read the towing threads and many mention an additional tranny cooler. I'm trying to figure out if the factory tow package includes a seperate cooler.

I've looked and I can't see a seperate one but I did find the hard lines from the radiator to the tranny.

I'll be towing a UHAUL 6x12 trailer. Not sure how full it will be but I don't want to burn it up.

I've also read to turn the OD off, especially on the hills. Any other recommendations?

 

I believe all 3rd gens have tranny coolers but the ones recommended here are better. I believe the factory one runs through the radiator while the aftermarket one is directly attached to the tranny. I bought a Hayden 678 for about $50. This seems to be the recommended model for our 3rd gens.
