Rockstomper or Stubbs Sliders....

I'm in the market for a set of slider to beef up the truck a little bit, and also because I plan to do a 2" body lift pretty soon and I need something that is going to cover up the frame some.
I could either get the rockstompers that mount to the body with would not be affected by the body lift, or get the stubbs sliders welded on AFTER the body lift to try to cover up the frame as good as possible.
What do you guys think would work the best to cover up the body lift?? To anyone that has ever ran rockstompers: do the sliders hang down far enough to really cover up the 2" of extra frame that would be showing? Pics would be appreciated!

Buy Stubb's Sliders. Richard is a great guy to work with and will help out after the sale if any problems come up. Definetly support him

The main thing that has me looking at the rockstompers is that there is a set for sale in the classified section, and it would also be a really useful jackpoint when I do the body lift. Any more thoughts?

lift the truck first then attach the sliders, that way you'll be able to mount the sliders a bit higher for extra clearance as well as avoid a large gap between the sliders and the body.

Alright guys looks like stubbs will be the way to go, thanks for the advice. On a similar note, are you guys running the 30 degree cant or the 15 degree cant? What are the advantages or disadvantages of the two different angles?

Stubbs...Stubbs...Stubbs...I've literally BEAT the living crap out of my sliders and they have yet to show more than a scrape. No dings, not dents...Came down so hard on them at the Badlands it made my head hurt...

Besides...Richard has always been a big supporter of this board and this community.

Rockstomper is awesome also...just no personal experience with Scott.

I put my BL on after the sliders were welded on. If I could have done it over again, I'd lift it and then weld the sliders on. The clearance difference may only be another inch or so, but I'll take it.

i put mine (15* cant, by the way) on and then did my 1" body lift also.

i'll be cutting them off soon and rewelding with scab plates up on the rocker like in Filthy's (eric's) pic for more clearance.

oh, and stubbs in action... as you can see, i need to bump them up a hair. i'll take care of that when i cut them off to add scab plates:

yea seeing the old pics makes me but it would just sit in the garage most of the year, and not be driven except when it was taken out to be wheeled. At least now it gets used. I'm thinking this spring, I'm going to pick up an old pick up and wheel that.

Filthy Rich- are your sliders the 15 degree cant?
Also, will Richard add the scab plates before he ships them or will I need to ask the local welder to do that?
