On the older carb models of the 20R is a idle valve(?) that keeps the idle at a high rpm ( about 1500 or so rpm's) and then gradually slows it back to normal idle when you are stopped... How the hell do you disable this so it just comes straight to the regular idle.. I find it to be a terrible fuel waster..
