Well yes odd topic, my 96' 4runner 2.7 makes a noticeable humming or buzzing noise whenever I drive it and shut it off, I have narrowed it down to the big black emissions box by the drivers side fender, first I'm not all sure what it does, I'm guessing the charcoal canister may be contained in there as well as some other things. I have narrowed it down to the box or connections somewhere but not exactly where on that thing. I have checked all the hoses and vaccum lines and they are all in good shape and on tight.

So is this normal? anybody else experience this?? So far as I can tell it doesnt affect the driving or motor at all, I was more just curious than anything else. Thanks.

Completely normal if a bit irritating. This topic is probably in the top ten questions asked on TTORA.

If it starts to hum show tunes, then you should start to worry...
