getting better.....

i moved into a new place, one with a garage so i can finally fab stuff. anyway, i have been doing a lot of practice lately and i put a receiver into my rear bumper.

i almost gave up on stick welding completely, but now im glad i stuck with it.

Those are some pretty nice stick welds. Post pics on your progress so we can see the bumper take shape right a long side you.

thanks, up next is some stronger frame mounts. right now im using the factory hitch bumper moounts with 3" chopped out of the middle of them. the previous owner let the bolts get loose so the holes in the frame are now elongated into slots, so if i try to lift the vehicle by the bumper it slides up and hits the tailgate.

then i need to decide whether or not to pursue the tire carrier
