05 Taco 3" lift with 33X12.5 16.5

Ok so Im looking to get some 33" tires but I dont want to go with 285-75-16 . I want something wider so Im looking for 305-70 series but I have heard you cant get rock crawler wheels in 16" that will fit the 05 I guess brake calipers or something . so any ways I was thinking about getting 16.5 wheels with 33x12.5 tires . So the only rock crawler wheels are 16.5x12 with a 5" backspace will these fit my 05 with the revtek 3"spacer lift ? Oh and the diamater of the 33X12.5-16.5 is the same as a 33X12.5-16 right?

The outside diameter of the tire is the same. You may want to think about just bumping up to 17" wheels, since you have alot more tire selection in that size and they aren't much more expensive.

Stay away from the 16.5s. You will lose a bead very easy with them when they are aired down. The other draw back is the limited selection of tires available in the 16.5 size.

Somewhere on here (and I am looking for it) is a picture of a red '05 dcab with the new toytech lift and the 33" tires. That may just answer your question.
