Toyota Car Show 7/10, Elmhust, IL.
Not "off-road" but I thought there might be some folks interested. Big Toy show. I'll be there with the SolaraGuy folks.
Elmhurst Toyota Scion
4th Annual Car Show
Date: Sunday, July 10th Time: 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Location: 440 W. Lake Street Elmhurst, IL 60126
For directions: www.mapquest.com
Pre-registration via e-mail to eparts@elmhursttoyota.com by July 8th.
(Bring completed registration form to event with $8.00 admittance fee)
or
At-Gate registration from 11:00-2:00 day of event.
(Complete form at gate with $10.00 admittance fee)
Admittance fee includes:
Two wristbands for food (Old Fashioned Barbeque with hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, pop, etc.)
Two raffle tickets (Over $2,500 worth of prizes!)
Additional wristbands for food are $5.00 each. Additional raffle tickets $1.00 each.
Event t-shirts will be available for $10.00 each.
Elmhurst Toyota’s Property is for show car parking only. Spectators can park across the street or at the hotel lot located east of the dealership.
Out-of-town travelers can get discounted rates at Springhill Suites, located east of the dealership. Room rates are $69.00 per night. Group code: etcs (contact by 6/17)
Springhill Suites # is (630) 782- 6300.
Trophies will be handed out at approximately 4:00 p.m.
There will be 40 trophies awarded!!
There will be three trophies awarded for the following classes:
Matrix Celica Corolla Solara Supra MR2 Lexus Toyota Other XA XB TC
Additional trophies awarded for…
Best Exterior Best Interior Best Engine Best of Show
Best Old School Best Make Best ICE
Motor Sports Unlimited will be videotaping this event! D.J. spinning tunes all afternoon!

seems like its going to be a bunch of slow and frusterated, fart can ricers. Pitty I would love to go if they had a 4x4 class. Funny that there isnt since toyota is probably the second most popular 4x4 in the country.
BTW, I bought my 4runner from Igor at elmhurst about 3 yrs ago (nice guy, but i over paid
)
If there is going to be a group of trucks there I may go, I dont want to get asked where my wing is.

Ha! Semi-true. Solara folk are very anti-ricer but some of the others... I've seen things... ugly things.
There is a "Toyota Other" category. Anyway, spectators are free and I'll have a keg of homebrew in the trunk so if you're in the area, look for the silver ragtop Solara and come get a beer. (I know... beer and car show... not the best combo.) You can point and laugh at the Scion folks.
