Busted front IFS wheel bearing wheeling in Tellico
WTF my drivers side wheel bearing is gone. I was hearing some noises from the front drivers side and thought it was my steering rack but no, my whole tire/drive axle spindle moves from the hub. What junk, It probibly has not been a year and a half scince my bearings were last pressed in.

You are not the only one who drove away from Tellico with bad wheel bearings. I had to have both front bearings and both hubs replaced.... Ouch that hurt! The good news is I was on vacation at my folk's house in Kentucky when I had it serviced, the bad news, (on top of the very steep price  ) is that it was diagnosed on Memorial day, and they didn't have the parts in stock. I was supposed to drive back to Virginia that day. I ended up leaving over two days late, on Wednesday afternoon.

Oh yeah, and I almost forgot to mention that replacing both front hubs and bearings cut the noise down enought that now you can hear one or both of the rear bearings making noise also....

Just curious if it was exceptionally wet/muddy or long creek crossings at Tellico this year??
Excessive water play can cause wheel bearings to breakdown prematurely...

just fyi for the future...replacing yer wheel bearings (and completely rebuilding your IFS hubs, actually) is pretty easy to do yourself...and you'll save a whole lotta money.
here is an excellent write-up
btw, carquest has good wheel bearings for less than the dealership.
(EDIT: also, you mention that it was only a year or something since your wheel bearings were last serviced...did whoever did it put it all back together right?
a little while after buying my truck, i noticed what appeared to be some wheel bearing play, so i started to tear everything apart to replace the wheel bearings...
well, i realized that someone had been in there before and did not bend the tabs on the lock washer...as a result, the locking nut and adjusting nut had come loose.
that may have been what happened to yours, too. i caught mine before everything got destroyed, but i imagine it would not take long to trash the bearings and possibly the hub with the adjusting nut loose.
yet another advantage of doing it yourself...you can make sure it is done right.)
