How much more will my tires stick out with this setup?

How much more will my tires stick out with this setup?
'97 4Runner 265/75/16s with Andy's Tundra/OME Lift + 1" BL (coming soon)
From what I've found (through lots and lots of reading and searching) the stock wheels on my 4R are:
16x7 with 4.375" of backspacing
If I were go to go to 16x8 wheels with 4" of backspacing
and 285/75/16 tire, would my tires stick out 1.375" more than they do now?
(1" from wheel + .375" from backspacing?)
Also, with the lower backspacing number (4" vs 4.375"), will I have less problems with rubbing suspension components and the fenders?
This is all new to me, so I'm still trying to get a handle on it all.

Doh, nevermind- I found a perfect example on Roger Brown/4Crawler's site (of course

As an example, take a vehicle running 31x10.50 tires on 6" wide rims with 3.5" backspacing. It the wheels/tires were change to 33x12.50 tires on 8" wide rims with 2.5" backspacing, you would see the following changes in trackwidth:
Tire width: 12.50" - 10.50" = 2.0" wider or a 1" increase in track
Wheel width: 8" - 6" = 2" wider so 2" increase in track
Backspace change: 3.5" - 2.5" = 1.0" less so 1" *increase* in track
Adding the above 3 changes means the outside edge of the wheel/tire is 1" + 2" + 1" = 4" farther out from the vehicle (on each side) or an 8" increase in track
On the inside of the tire, you gain 1" of additional clearance with the backspace change but lose 1" of clearance with the additional tire width, so the inside edge of the tire should remain in the same plane as the current tire
Tire height: 33" - 31" = 2" taller, or a 1" increase in ground clearance and a 1" decrease in tire-fender clearance
Tire width: 12.50" - 10.50" = 2.0" wider or a 1" increase in track

You are thinking along the right lines though, the RIMS would stick out 1.375 more. The tires would be an inch wider (roughly) so add the half inch for them and you have 1.875 more sticking out. On the inside, giving the extra .375 of clearance, but using it with 1/2" of tire helps to not rub on things. Sounds like a great tire and rim choice.

Ah yes, i forgot to add in the extra tire width.
I suppose if it does rub a little I can always pound that pinch weld flat or do some trimming.
