Stupid gas/oil leak on my seat!

OK, so I put my chainsaw in the cab (in it's case) because I was going into the store & wanted it to be there when I returned. Well, it leaked gas & 2 cycle oil on my f@#$*n seat! Anyone know what to use to get that crap out?

I would try a steam cleaner...if you don't have one, some self spray car washes have them. I've also had good luck with Woolite Foam Carpet Cleaner. Good luck!

I owned a carpet and upholstery cleaning company and had a little experience with this.

In one case a man's child had opened a quart of graphite oil (remember that 50,000 mile motor oil back in the 80's) and poured it all over the back seat of a new Mercedes. Carpet and seats were just black with the stuff. I used a wet vac and about 2-3 gals of dry cleaning solvent to get it all out. Must have taken me 2-3 hours of spraying and sucking, spraying and sucking...

On another call a roofing company had poured hot tar on a roof and it poured through a hole in the roof and through the ceiling all over an upholstered chair. Once again, the best thing to use was a solvent. Once most of the oil or tar is removed then you can do a wet cleaning (shampoo or steam cleaning).
