Just wondering what these two things circled in red are? My 98 Tacoma 3.4 5spd. doesn't have them.

 

I don't have those either. What ever they are, its not stock. It looks like some type of gauge under the V6 lettering.

 

the box with the lines running off of it is your ABS motor/modulator, and the other thing circled is the cruise control

 

Dunno about the ABS thing but can verify the object below that as the cruise control.

 

Alright thanks guys. I was guessing that one of the two had to do with the auto transmission. My 5spd. has cruise control, but it must not be as an elaborate system. Not sure if I have ABS though.

 

must be different for 2001, but my cruise is not mounted there, and my ABS box isn't that big.

 

It's Toyota's version of the "flux capacitor" and the other thing they just put on there to charge you more money, it doesn't do anything though.

Top left is ABS with all those BRAKE lines coming out of it...that other thing...who knows but c/c sounds like a good guess.

Try driving by the dealer, popping the hood on your friend's rig and going ..."what are those things, mine ain't got em?"
