Ok, this thread is just kinda a stem from Alan's "mod list" thread.
So I was thinking, what would everyone do if they were given $5000 to spend only on their trucks?
And no, you cannot use it to pay off bills or buy something other than for the truck or off roading purposes.
So I guess I'll go first...
(I'm not going to put prices on anything because I'm lazy and dont want to look it all up)
1. Marlin Dual Ultimate
2. 1" Body Lift (only because I have to with the crawler)
3. Modify front and rear bumpers to get rid of gap from body lift
4. Different sliders with kickouts and mounted up higher
5. Onboard Air (CO2 PowerTank)
6. Tire Deflators
7. Gas Tank Skid Plate
8. 35" tires
9. Beadlock Wheels 15x8 w/ 4" backspacing
10. FROR Transfercase X-Member
11. 99-UP center console with modified e-brake for crawler shifter
12. Winch with synthetic line
13. Possibly modify stock spare tire carrier for a 35

Ok well thats all I can think of right now. What would everyone else do?

I would rather spend $5k on my Celica, but here are the things I would buy for my 4Runner.

IPT Valve Body upgrade ~$800
URD Fuel mods.~$950
bamachem's suspension setup~$750
Front and Rear Locker~$???
285's Dueler M/T ~$800

Build my 85 axle with Longfield Super Axles, high pinion 3rd with 5.29's and an ARB, Marlin hi-steer, CV DS and get it under the Runner with a link front suspension with coilovers. I'll probably come close to running out of money though...

Or

Swap in a 1UZFE motor, ECU, a340f and dual ultimate - but I'd probably run out of money on that one too...

That's Hines Ward #86 of the World Champion (in my mind anyway) Steelers. If you look closely, you can see the tears. He was trying to win one for Jerome (Bettis) who may retire.

You would hook up 15,000 tractor lights in the back of your 4runner for camping lights.
