I am going to look at some new, aftermarket fenders a guy has for sale for my 4runner. He says they will fit 84-89 pickups. I did a seach and found that there were different fenders for 2wd and 4wd pickups. My question- Will the fender from a 4wd pickup 84-89 fit a 85 4runner, also, would the 2wd fender fit my runner- I know from the search was the difference in the flare, but I figure it beats the rust. Thanks for your help.

The 2wd and 4wd fenders are different. The pick-up fenders should fit a 4runner.

 

they will bolt up fine.. the difference is that the 4x4 fenders have a little bit of a factory flare to them of about an inch and a half-3" more than hte 4x2 fenders... ckick the link in my signature to see my truck which is a 2wd and of the same year you are looking at....
