just using a little guessing here, but youd probably have to have some type of drop for it...for example towing something in a lifted vehicle, i think its the same idea...but i bet youd push some of the snow out of the way, just not all, and put some stress on whatever its attached to...but i think if theres an adapter, itd work...again i think its just the same idea as towing something in a lifted vehicle, they make those drop things

I knew a guy who put a plow on the front of his 04 Tacoma and messed up the front suspension and what not pretty bad. Not trying to discourage you or anything, just keep in mind that you may want to be careful when thinking about this.

actually i think i can make it fit. I ahve a metal shop easily available to me...I can make it fit my 88. Make brackets and all that
I can also make my own drop brakcets to work with my lift. Thx for the diea, i found one for 650 used, in brand new condition... IM gonna look into durability and i may buy it.

Check out Arctic Snowplows in Canada. I have one on my 92 p-up for 4 years, other than topping up the fluid, I have never had a problem. I used it 2 years to do over 20 driveways per storm. (I am on the east coast of Canada) Usually 12-20" per storm.

At $20 a pop, it didn't take long to pay for itself! And I can clean my own driveway from the comfort of the cab of my truck unstead of following behind a snowblower freezing my A** off!

Check out these links too:

Snow Bear
I saw a nice winch operated plow in front of Tractor Supply Company but they don't seem to list it on their site.

For around $1000, you could probably buy an old truck that you could just use for plowing so you would not have to put extra wear on your 4Runner. Since you have access to a metal shop, could you build something? Maybe get a truck for about $500 and weld something to it. Possibly find a small trashed bull dozer and take the blade of of it. Might not be the best idea, but it is just a suggetion.

I would steer away from this myself..
I would look for an old truck or something like a Scout II to push snow, the IFS on your 88 will take a BEATING, not only just the weight of the plow bouncing around up there but every time you hit a pot hole or bump you are jarring the crap out of the frame head.. You would probably need at least, bigger T bars and shocks. I saw a Jeep Wrangler pushing snow the other day, but have never seen a Toyota with a plow... it would be cool to rig up a snow blower to the front though, that would be sweet, you could get extra points for launching small creatures and hidden treasures buried deep within the snow, which reminds me of last year!.. I thought I would be nice and take my shiny new MTD 5hp snow blower down to my neighbors and blow out their drive way since he had just recovered from some surgery, well he didn’t tell me that his retarded wife feeds her stupid cat with old frying pans in the drive way.. I wish I could have got the cat.. WHAM, when you hit a T-Fal 8" sauté pan with a brand new snow blower it does something to you...not only stripping out the auger transmission on your new toy but puts you into a very very “friendly” mood…

Hi
I am in Buffalo NY, the snow capital of the world, I have a meyer 6' plow with the rigging for IFS. I bought it used for $500.00. Look on e-bay. There is an entire truck with an aluminum flatbed and a plow for $1500.00
Good luck!
