This is my daily driver and my front stabilizer end links along with the bushings are shot. What if i just removed the bar. I figure i would get more flex...but how bad would the handling be? I want to start doing off roading with it. Thanks for helping a newbie.

 

i run no anti-roll bar but my 4runner is about 4 inches wider than stock, i very much like the changed ride offroad, but don't let the extra body roll catch you off guard on road or anywhere at speed... the anti-roll bar is there for a reason and it does its job well.

Excellent link Flamedx4. I assume that will work also if you raise the suspension...you just have to make the bolt longer...correct? Do you have a similar trick for the rear bar also?

I have this on my to-do list, because, yep, undoing the sway bar really increases flex. Longer bolts aren't needed with mine, because the lift included brackets that space the swaybar mounts down. Dunno what your rear links look like...

 

i took mine off when i lifted my truck....... i have a little bit more lean... but it doesnt bother me... i liek the fact the truck is mroe responsive to my input now....

 

Should be less responsive to your input... The whole point of sway bar is that steering input isn't wasted on body roll and the vehicle responds quicker. But then, a lifted 2wd is a different animal.
If I drive without mine, I scrape the door handles going around curves....
