Throttle Body

Has anyone changed to a DOA TB on a 2nd gen 3.0 4Runner/Tacoma? If so what did it do for you? Also, has anyone put fog lightes in the val pnl - also in a 2nd gen 4Runner?

I got my 22RE's t-body and intake bored out by a guy up in Canada, http://media-north.com/4wd/tbintake.htm
It was a lot cheaper than DOA, Downey or LC Engineering.

3.4 Throttle Body

Is it possible to swap a 3.4 TB for the 3.0 TB? What would happen to that nice flat torque curve?

Flat out decrease because you loose vaccum if the 3.4 TB is larger than the 3.0. When it is bored out, it's no more than 4mm (DOA does 3mm) before you start loosing vaccum. I haven't seen the 3.4L up close but if you wanted to try it, measure your diameter and compare that to someone on this board who would ever so graiceously measure their 3.0 version...
