How good would you say the factory alarm is in the 3rd Gens? A co-worker had her 4Runner stolen when she was in the middle of a alarm upgrade. Meaning the old one was out but the new alarm had not been installed yet. I think it may have been a inside job I mean what's the chances of that. But back to my question how good or bad is the factory alarm?

 

If you compare it to other factory alarms (honda, chev, etc) its a tad above average.

If you compare it to aftermarket alarms, then its a tad below average...
