Toyota Hilux Headliner removal ..

Hi guys,

I've sound padded my doors and the back of the cabin.. made a huge difference.

However I want to do the headliner too, but I was unable to find a way to pull it out. It's hanging in the roof, on strips (bow) of metal, that go from side to side.

I was unable to pull the metal out of it's place, to lower the headliner down.
I could have just pulled and pulled, but I didn't want to tear it.

Am I doing anything wrong here ?

There is some padding in the floor, don't know if it will help to add some there too.. but the headliner is first.

... mine is not solid..

It's a flexible vinyl that is "hanging" under the roof in those steel hangers/bulkheads.

What do you mean by "your surf is off the chain.." ? I'm not getting it ..
