Time to check/change your coolant?

I am going to check my coolant when I find my coolant temp tester but I want to know what I should do with my old coolant/water mix. Also should I run pure coolant or a slight water mix for winter. Its been a while I the info slipped my mind.

look in your manual for interval to change coolant, the type of coolant & mixture 50/50% mix of coolant/with distillerd or demineralized water. change it if its needed regardless of interval. (mine is 24 months/48000km-candian) As for the old coolant, flush it out if its old/dirty.

check with your local garbage company.... they know who will accept used coolant for recycling.... supposedly auto stores that sell coolant are supposed to accept recycling of used coolant, however i havent actually tried to take used coolant anywhere.... i used to work for a tire place, and whenever i had any, i just took it to work and dumped it in our bin.....
