96 4Runner Locker

I have a 96 4Runner 4WD 5-Speed, and I want a rear locker. I have found this lock-right on truckperformance.com, that says it will fit my vehicle... the ad says "8 inch ring gear, V6, and only for 4 pinion carriers". Am I right about it working for mine? I could use some education, being that I am a rookie at this. Thanks for any help...

Man, I would check out an Aussie locker here: http://www.offroadlockers.com . I got mine cheaper than a lockright, and I think they are of a higher quality as well.

I am looking at a locking system myself.
Before you jump, research!
Here are some sites.
This site will help with what you have. If not go to a toy dealer and, ask them what you have. I did. good to double check.

Never met him, but from his posts, sounds like a cool guy, with great info, and can help you and do the work for you, if needed.

I have read up on Lock-right. If you go to 31" tire or above, It sounds like breakage is for sure to happen.
