Help removing 80 amp fusible link

I was messing around near my alternator contacts and blew the main fuse that protects the ignition. It lives in the fuse box next to the battery (truck's an 86 4x4 w/ carb). It's a black square fuse with a clear window. So I'm trying to pull it straight out but it won't come out. There's a green and a red fuse next to it that look the same and pull straight out - no problem. How do I get this 80 amp out?- there's a tab- looks like a release tab and I stick a screw driver in but it still won't budge. Also, is this fuse available at the local Napa or is it dealer only?

I think that fuse is screwed into the box from underneath. Either way, I think you have to take the fuse block loose from where it is mounted. I'm pretty sure that that is a dealer only item. I think it's maybe around $80. Is it definitely blown? I know on my girlfriends 91 Camry it looked blown, but it wasn't. Ended up needing new batt cables. The prob. with her car was it wouldn't start after being shut off one day. I looked at that fuse and the copper link looked black on the inside almost like it had blown, but turns out it wasn't. Then again if you shorted across the alt. then you might have blown that fuse.
