How good is the factory '99 4-runner alarm?

How good is the factory '99 4-runner alarm? It's a "limited" 4-runner and I don't know much about it other than than. The keyfob has a lock and unlock button on the front and a "panic" button on the back.

Is it "good enough" or should I consider investing in a Viper or whatever it is they sell these days?

Thanks,
Ed

About what I would assume. Thanks. It's so... "convenient" though that I might have to stick with it for awhile.

so ˟˟˟˟ty HOW ? can you explain ?

add the right sensors for your needs..... and unless you need paging (which can actually be added) or pre-alarm beeping...

an alarm, is an alarm ? Sensor goes off = alarm goes off ?
