Rattle in clutch? 91 2.4 4X4
Friend has a 91 Xcab PU, 2.4L, 5 spd.
He had a slight rattle that would go away with slight pressure on the clutch pedal. He changed the clutch, PP, TO bearing, and pilot bearing with a centerforce kit, also new master and slave. He was surprised to find it still has the same noise. What could this be, or is it normal?
I did not see any of the components, or participate in the project, so all I know is what I can see from the outside.
Any suggestions?

If the noise stops when the clutch is in, then it might be something in the transmission because engaging the clutch would stop the transmission from turning assuming that the vehicle is not coasting anywhere.
