305/70/R16's What's the optimal back spacing?

A friend of mine is selling me a set of Goodyear 305/70/R16's for a really good price, so I'm determined to make them work. From what I've read here on the forum and from what I've experienced, I'm thinking 4.00" back spacing on a 16"x8" rim will clear the stock A-arms. Does anyone have any experience with this combination of tires & rims while using the stock A-arms?

If those are 12.5" wide like my 315's yor pretty much going to have to get some of those Inland Trucks arms.

The 315's went inward a full inch from my 285's.

ask Hyperlite, he ran 305s. i am 95% sure he ran Tech1 RockCrawlers (4 1/4" backspacing), but double check with him.

I had a set of Pro Comp Rockcrawlers with 4.25" back spacing but had to let them go with the 265/75/16 tires I just sold. So, it's time for new rims and I've decided I'm done with steel ones. I'm hoping I can get by with a set of Pro Comp Xtreme Alloys 1869's w/4" b/s. Wheeler's Offroad advertises black alloy wheels (4" b/s) for Toyotas, and they claim "The backspacing is set to 4" to fit smaller tires as well as 12.5" wide tires without upper a-arm to tire interference"
I guess I'll just have to try and if worst comes to worst, I'll have to do what Steve suggested and look into getting aftermarket A-arms.
