Consolidated ADD defeat Info

Hi everyone I’m a noob. I have a 93 4x4 with 3.0 and 5 spd manual. 4x4 no workie. Already swapped out the hubs with Aisin manual locks, now I need to defeat the ADD system so the sleeve is in the correct pos and I actually get power to the front wheels with the hubs locked and 4wd selected. There are bits and pieces about this all over the internet and this forum. Can someone please direct me to the comprehensive Bible for this procedure? Does it exist anywhere? Tools, fluids, parts required? Need to actually take the differential apart or simply use vacuum lines to place it in the correct position? I’ve seen conflicting info about this last one. Sorry for the re-tread question.

I recall a write up eons ago in the HowTo part of this forum.
But the short TLDR is if you put locking hubs, you can push the ADD lever over into the locked position. I want to say 'moved towards the passenger/right side' but thats probly wrong.
You can do this manually with the unit unbolted, or you can also use like a brake bleeder vacuum tool thingy and suck into place.
I don't recall the wiring (factory) schematics off top of my head, but recently I had issues with mine.
I DO believe even tho the driver side axle / cv joint would be engaged - with the lever in correct position - also a good way to check the sentence above, that the 4WD light will NOT be lit until your lever is in 4 WD. But that is also a convenience issue, because neither axle will turn (or cause the front driveshaft to turn when spinning a wheel) if the respecitve hub is manually FREE.

Hope this helps.

Since you already have locking hubs, I would pop the actuator cover of and lock the fork engaged with a hose clamp and call it done.
