Just looking to get my project out and share it with some other Toyota geeks, I started with a regular cab long wheel base 1982 pick up with a rusty rear half, rust free body panels with a short box.
What I have done so far
-frame cut shortened and rebuild with all new body mounts
-front axle rebuilt 4.88 gears and arb air locker, all new hard ware
-1999 Tacoma 2.7 engine and manual transmission fitted
- 1982 gear transfer case rebuilt with 4.7 gears/23 spine gears so I could use a adapter to fit it to the Tacoma transmission
- new transfer case mount skid plate built (had to be move backed)
lots of other small things along the way I’m forgetting, I will add to this as I make progress
