i’m just gonna tell the story of how it happened in case it is part of the cause of why it failed. it had been lightly raining today then me and two buddy’s let the tailgate down and sit around, you know how that is. the rain got moderately severe and as i go to put the tailgate up and move the truck, the rear window goes up a third of the way then just quit. i rolled it down and went to roll it back up and it did the exact same thing. so i got mad and threw a towel over it to cover it up while it rained. fast forward to about two hours ago i tried to work with it a bit. apparently this problem has already happened before, since the weather stripping was gone and the windshield wiper park switch was jumper-wired. i messed with it a little bit i don’t know what i did but after doing something it rolled down all the way, allowing me to put the tailgate down. but me being an idiot went to roll it up but this time it only went up under a quarter of the way. also i forgot to mention that it’s got power i know that because it clicks when i turn it to the up position inside or use the key switch, and the volt meter goes down when i click it. any ideas?
