1987 pickup vent window rubber replacement
I've been searching all over for replacement rubber for my 1987 DLX vent window (passenger side) with no luck. I've even reached out to a couple of shops in Japan, nada.
Has anyone come up with a solution to fix/seal the rubber moulding that has pulled away from the window causing wind noise, and water leaks? I was thinking of some silicon sealant, but not sure it'll bond well to the 35 year old rubber.

I haven't seen a source for replacement, other than used.
If their overall condition is good, just not soft anymore, you could remove and stick in a large pot of boiling water for 5-10 minutes. I'd turn off the burner flame just as you put in the weatherstrip in the pot.

I've never tried that trick on something that big, but I've done smaller rubber items and it really does work. In the past, I've tried soaking stuff with vinyl restorer and sealing in plastic bags hoping it'd absorb in. it didn't.

Might have to buy the whole vent window frame assembly. Seen some on Ebay.
Saw this set off a 1987 truck for auction on https://www.2040-parts.com/84-88-toy...atch-i2153856/
Sometimes old trucks you take what you can get to fix the problem
Good luck
