I've got a 93 3vze 2WD that needs a new Kickdown cable.
I ordered the part online and it came with a tiny little "collar" attached. Anyone know where this goes? Is it a clamp of some sort?

Also,
I have new Aftermarket solenoids and I'm conflicted about whether or not new aftermarket solenoids are better than 30 year old OEM?
Should I put them in while I'm in there, or let sleeping dogs lie? Thoughts?
