I'm looking to replace my 1986 toyota bed with a flat bed design for crawling and general purpose truck use. My current heavily rusted bed is light enough I spin the tires(when in 2wd) in almost any road condition that's not flat, dry and clean.

My question is does anyone have a target weight for my flatbed design that will give traction but not sacrifice too much?

 

dont do flatbeds , but I can tell you a factory short bed w/gate weighs in @ ~ 320lbs ...
