I'm doing a 98 a swap into my 89. If I remember correctly during this year there was no difference between federal and CARB exhausts. So if I get an aftermarket exhaust, i'm guessing it still has to be CARB legal. But what if it is an OEM one? Also, I ended up finding a CARB oem cat online that I could possibly be interested in. It is however from a 4runner. Will a 4runner cat work fine in a tacoma if it is from the same year and same size engine? Thanks guys.
