1994 2wd rim upgrade

Hi all,

Dad's got a sweet base 1994 2WD that he'd like some info on. He's looking to put 205/70/r15 tires onto, but first he needs a 15" rim. Stock rims are 14". Anybody know of a a good steely that fits? Just need a link, or the dimensions (with offset) of 15" rim options.

Thanks!

Talk to the used tire shops because some of them deal in used wheels too. The local one around here says Mustang and Jeep 15's fit my 92 2wd pickup. When I bought the truck, it had Mustang wheels, and it still to this day has Mustang wheels. Numerous times people have asked me if I have Mustang wheels on my pickup!

195R(78 series?)-14s came on my 86 2WD truck. There was a 205-70-14 option I think was on cast rims. Those two tire circumference are close enough not to screw up the speedometer. I installed the 205/70-14s on the stock steel rims. They fit fine and look a whole lot better than the stock 195r-14s. They look meaty. Handling is improved as well.

I'd tell your Dad to fit a set of 205/70-14 on and see how he likes them. He won't want the 15s wheel. I am on my 3rd set of General Altimax RT34s and there are great tires. Dry and wet traction is never problem and they are quiet. They are inexpensive. With yearly rotations (12,000 miles) and monthly air pressure checks I easily get 65,000 mile out of them.
