sr5 cluster with bulbs vs leds.

So ive finally gotten ahold of an sr5 cluster, just need to adjust the mileage and install my oil pressure sending unit. One thing I and stuck between. I know many people have done a led bulb kit in their clusters, or swapped out there bulbs for amber colored 194s. I found that there are blue 194s out there. My question is are leds the way to go? Or would it be best to stick to some blue tinted 194 bulbs? Just looking for some opinions from people that have done both. Also, if i go with leds, do i need to swap all the bulbs to leds? or can I leave the blinker and other lights as bulbs with the background lighting blue leds?

Anything helps, thanks in advance.

I did every bulb, they are cheap enough and you’re already in there……superbright leds just started carrying exact 194 glass replacements, I ordered some for the next time I’m in my cluster. They should reduce hot spots some other bulbs create.

here is the link, they should carry all the bulbs for the cluster, I also color matched all my indicators like the 4WD light, check engine etc, way crisper colors than the standard bulbs, but I’m also a weirdo

I have the LED green. Much better than the stock 194.
Order a few more than you actually need. Having a few be DOA is pretty normal on the 12v LED's

If they're not DOA, are there infant mortality problems or are they pretty much good forever if they light up the first time?

Mine have been installed for a few years and still ok, but I don't use all that much at night.
We've used LED 1156 bulbs in the motorhome(as interior lighting) and they last a few years, but maybe used much more.
