O2 sensor is larger than the one I removed.


It does barely fit.
But much less air flow around it than the smaller one. But more surface area.

What is the make of the old smaller one.?

Perhaps it is the one that is incorrect??

That's a good point.. It was the o2 sensor that came with it. I replaced it because the bracket was broken. Seems to be working fine.

What year/motor is your truck? Some years had the O2 sensor in the header, some were after the header, some had both, some were heated. Im guessing you got the downstream O2 sensor.

It's an 86 22re and it's in the manifold.
it seems to be working OK.
