My 91 jerks, vibrates, bucks after removing foot off gas pedal, then reapplying gas ?

Greetings to one and all in these times. I am here with an issue hoping someone can help! Thanks.
As I was driving on the highway today, I experience something that is puzzling to me at least.
while driving my 91 toyota 2wheel drive on the highway today in 5th gear, I took my foot off the gas peddle
for a quick second, after reapply gas, out the blue comes jerking, vibration and bucking, which occurs only for a few
seconds then goes away and back to normal. Can someone help me? Thanks. This happens in 2 thru 5th gear.

almost certainly the TPS is in need of adjustment. probably has too much movement before it senses "off idle", thus the jerking. another possiblity could instead be the wiring to the TPS, too. your multi-meter will help you figure it out.

good day to one and all, hope all is well in these times. Well, I ran the 5 test on the TPS this evening
and these were the outcome. The 1St test ran 0.83. 2nd read ol, open, question, should there be resistance here?
Third test passed, ol. 4th test was not consistent, kept fluctuating between 4.89 5.10. The 5th test was 5.88 pass.
any thoughts or input would be appreciated. Thanks

Good day to all, I purchased a new Throttle Position Sensor today and installed it.
I am using the chart from LC engineering performance toyota. I have a question hoping someone
can help me. The #3 test failed, it is suppose to read open, it reads 0.03, I redid the test multiple
times and got the same results. Am I not doing something right? Can someone help? Thanks

Do you mean the test indicated by the red arrow in the picture above? I never put in the LCE part, so I don't have their procedure, but I have a sneaking hunch it's the same as the procedure from the FSM, as shown.

I you mean the test I indicated, it means that the TPS stop screw needs to be turned slightly to make that condition occur. See test 2 in the FSM. I can post that if you need. Loosen it's lock nut off, and turn it slightly, then check again, if you get all the way one direction, and still no good, try going the other way. Essentially, and you can look on the attached schematic to follow along with me, you're checking to see it the Idle switch is open at 0.85 MM separation from the stop, and closed at under 0.57mm. You need to adjust the TPS stop to make this situation happen. Use a feeler gauge to check the separation. Put one size feeler, the 0.85 mm, between the stop screw and the part of the TPS that rests on it. Check the ohms between E2 and IDL. It SHOULD be infinity. If it's not, back the stop screw out a hair. Keep it up until it reads correctly. Then verify it closes, 2.3 k ohms or less, at 0.57.

Does all my rambling help any?
Pat☺

Thanks 2TOYGUY and WALLYTOO. I did as you said and did not get the correct reading. The tps I bought was from Autozon , $51 bucks trying to
save a little .I also want to mention that the check engine light came on, it gave a hard start and taking off in 1st gear, it shook
with some roughness. I replaced the autozone brand with the OEM part from toyota for $111.00. After connection, it started right up.
Took it for a test drive and all went well, the check engine light went off ,I felt more power and less vibration during high speed.
Thanks for all your help, and also the diagram.
