Forgot to measure how far cranked the torsion bar was...
Hey all - I've got a 1994 4Runner A/T 4WD and I'm redoing the front suspension. I took the upper control arm off the passenger side by loosening the torsion bar nut without realising I needed to count the rotations or measure the amount of bolt length poking out the top. How can I tighten the torsion bar back up and get it in a reasonable position? Can I look at the protruding bolt length on the drivers side? Or will this not be accurate enough given the difference in weight from drivers side to passenger side? Anyone have any good ideas here?

I'd think using the driver's side bolt to roughly set the height would work fine.
I'd jack up the front end to take the load off the bars and set the rough height on the right, Then lower the vehicle and measure the left side from the top of the rim to the edge of the fender wheel opening. Then measure the right. Jack the vehicle back up and make the necessary adjustments to the right until it matches the left.
