I recently picked up a 92 4runner and I noticed that my shocks were a little soft and I wanted to replace them, but most of the information I can find is for lifted builds and rock crawlers. I am not going to be doing any serious offroading, as it's my daily driver, but I will be doing some trail rides, and camping trips. Looking for something that won't negatively affect the ride quality on-road and is capable enough for mild offroad. I don't plan on adding too much weight except a metal front bumper and lights some time in the future, so weight shouldn't be a problem. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Not sure if you're still looking for shocks. I replaced mine a few months ago with KYB Gas-A-Just (KG5474 & KG5475) and so far I really like them. They are a little less heavy duty than the KYB MonoMax, but that's why I got them. They seems like a good all around shock.
