92 3.0 5-speed. Electrical issue?

My truck as said is a 5-speed V6, runs like a dream at times but often will take a crap. Engine will not stall, it will idol all day, with that being said when problem shows up, I can’t get over 1,500 RPM. It will drop to 1,000-1,100 RPM and pick back up. Push the clutch and leave throttle is same position as was when driving and RPM still do same thing so it isn’t load effected. I’m tired of throwing parts/money/time into it. New parts list include distributor, plugs, wires, TPS, coolant temp sensor, mass air, fuel sending unit. I’m sure I am forgetting things as this has been a on going problem. Any help/advise and tips would be much appreciated

Power Output

Hi;
Take a look at fuel delivery.
Fuel filter, pump output, injector condition,
The filter is a bitch to get off, and on again due to the god awful location that Toyota put it in.
It's as if some engineer said after design was over, "Holy S*** we forgot to put on a fuel filter"
A lot of them don't get changed for just that reason.
Also try driving the car with the Fuel pump jumpered on in the diag. socket.
Look for any change at all in the symptoms.
This could point you in the right direction.
Good Luck

Not a lot to governing the engine speed, air in, air out, fuel volume, and ignition timing.

Get it to act up. Check the volume of fuel returning to the tank. Crack open the exhaust at the intermediate pipe.

fuel line, sending unit, pump & filter is maybe a year old. It’s very intermittent. I really think it’s in the comp but then again I’ve traced the issue for over a year
