New Front Wheel Bearing Won't fit on Spindle
I'm doing all new front bearings, all new races, rotors, and seals. I have everything put together but one of the hub/disc assembly won't fit well onto either of the spindles. I followed the procedure of the Haynes manual of torquing to 43 lb/ft then loosen and torque to 18 lb/ft but its nearly impossible to turn the thing. The other assembly slips on great and when torqued the drag is perfect on either spindle. The races, bearings, and seals are Timken. I made sure that the races were seated fully and the inner bearings were in straight before putting in the seal. I mic'd the inner bearings and they're the same as well as the part numbers. I also swapped the outer bearings to see if they were the problem but they aren't. Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone have suggestions? This is a 1990 Pickup 4x4 22re.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I was thinking too fast when i put a seal in and forgot to put one of the inner bearings in. I got a new one from the parts store and that was the one that fit great. Turns out that Rockauto sends out wrong seals even when it says it fits. I got a new seal from my local parts store and have all Nationals. They both went on great and good drag on the bearings.
