New to me truck
Hey everyone first post and promise to keep it simple.
i could possibly purchase a 91 pickup 4x2 with the 22re engine automatic with 37000 miles.
My question for everyone is do you think it could be a reliable daily?
I have a 60 mile roundtrip commute. I dont plan to modify the truck. I'm hoping to get 100k miles and about 5 years out of it.
If you have suggestions on what to if you were to buy said truck that would be awesome
Apologies if its a repeated post.
Thanks in advance

Sounds like a nice truck, but, and this is a big but...
I would check the frame carefully for rust. These tend to get bad cases of frame and body rust.
Next, only 37,000! WOW! Why so low, though? Engine troubles?
How do the fluids look? Especially the coolant. If it has just sat still, rust can develop in the cooling system pretty quickly, and badly.
How about the hoses and belts? They may well be dry-rotted. Be ready for replacement of them all. Including the vacuum lines!
Anywho, there's a start. What I'd look for, anyway.

if everything is working correctly, yes, it can be a DD. i've been DDing my '87 4runner since 2013, and just crossed 100K miles (that i put on, 197k total). i drove it across the country and back in july 2016, putting 8500+ miles on it. i'd drive across country tomorrow if i had a reason to.
